The Trinidad and Tobago Consulate in New York - Indian Arrival Day Message

"On the occasion of Indian Arrival Day 2019, I extend on behalf of the Consulate General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in New York, warm greetings to the East Indian community of the Trinidad and Tobago Diaspora in New York and nearby states.

As with every Indian Arrival Day, this year’s commemoration affords us a moment to reflect on our history and the part played by the East Indian Community in the building of the richly diverse and thriving society of Trinidad and Tobago of which we are proud today.   We are happy to note that the Diaspora in the nine states in the USA that are under the Consulate General’s jurisdiction continues to exhibit much of the best of Trinidad and Tobago culture, lifestyle and values in their respective communities and fields of endeavour.

From all accounts, the product of the convergence of your groundings in our beautiful home country with your pursuits as migrants in the United States is uplifting to those with whom you interact.  It also ensures that you possess in increasing measure, something of unique value to contribute to the development of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Consulate General therefore takes the opportunity to underline our continued support for your initiatives, as you pursue success in the many facets of life in which you are involved in the USA and seek to bring our respective peoples together through cultural and other forms of cooperation.

To the Members of our East Indian community and moreover, the Trinidad and Tobago Diaspora, the Consulate General in New York wishes you a safe and happy Indian Arrival Day 2019.
