MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS POETRY COMPETITION IN COMMEMORATION OF CARICOM DAY 2021

The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs held a Poetry Competition for members of staff in commemoration of CARICOM Day 2021, under the theme "I AM CARICOM." The competition was judged by three (3) retired officers of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs - Mrs. Margaret Parillon, Ms. Susan Gordon and Mr. Garvin Lewis - who gave willingly of their time to assess the entries.  The poems were judged using three main criteria: creativity; relevance to the topic; and inspiration to others.

The winner of the Ministry's "I AM CARICOM" Poetry Competition was the European Affairs Division with their poem entitled “We are Family”.

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, presents the CARICOM Day 2021 Poetry Competition Prize to Ms. Kiva Clarke, Director of the European Affairs Division.
