Prime Minister Engages in Talks with US Officials

Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley met today (June 9, 2017) with Francisco Palmieri, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs. The meeting was held at the Diplomatic Centre, La Fantasie St. Ann’s. 

The discussions centered around Trinidad and Tobago’s stance on the position taken by the Organisation of American States (OAS) in relation to Venezuela, ongoing collaboration on security initiatives and the importance of Trinidad and Tobago as partners of the United States.

Accompanying Prime Minister Rowley at the meeting were the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs; the Honourable Faris Al-Rawi, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs; the Honourable Stuart Young, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister in the Office of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs.

Accompanying Mr. Palmieri were Ms. Stephanie Powers, his chief of staff and Charge d’Affaires, Mr. John McIntyre.
