On 25th November 2025, the Honourable Sean Sobers M.P., Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs; the Honourable Saddam Hosein M.P. Minister of Land and Legal Affairs and Minister in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries; and the Honourable Jearlean John M.P., Minister of Works and Infrastructure met with His Excellency Saeed Bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA). Minister Al Hajeri plays a key role in advancing the UAE’s global economic agenda. The discussions among the Ministers focussed on several areas of economic cooperation between the UAE and Trinidad and Tobago.
Later in the day, the Ministerial Team met with His Excellency Ahmed Al Mutwaa, CEO of AD Ports of Abu Dhabi and Senior Executives of the company’s group. AD ports currently manages 50 ports internationally including the world’s largest, Khalifa Port. During the engagement, Minister John made detailed presentations on the Government’s Revitalisation Blueprint with specific focus on the myriad of investment opportunities including port development and management.
