The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs on behalf of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, expresses its profound sorrow and deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of India following the tragic crash of Air India Flight 171 on Thursday 12th June, 2025, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The Ministry is deeply saddened by the loss of 241 lives, including passengers and crew as well as individuals on the ground. The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago stands in solidarity with the families and loved ones of the victims during this time of immense grief. The Ministry also acknowledges the lone survivor of the crash and extends wishes for a full and swift recovery.
Trinidad and Tobago shares in the sorrow of the international community and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the people of India in the wake of this tragedy. The Ministry conveys its heartfelt sympathies to all affected, including nationals of other countries who were on board.
The Government of Trinidad and Tobago remains steadfast in its support for international cooperation in aviation safety and disaster response, and joins the global community in mourning this devastating loss.
