Acting Permanent Secretary Jennifer Daniel welcomes His Excellency Valeriy Chaly, Ambassador-designate of Ukraine to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

Mrs. Jennifer Daniel, Permanent Secretary (Ag.), Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs received His Excellency Valeriy Chaly, non-resident Ambassador-designate of Ukraine to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for a courtesy call on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. The meeting preceded Ambassador-designate Chaly’s presentation of his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona, O.R.T.T, S.C., President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.


During the courtesy call, the Permanent Secretary (Ag.) and the Ambassador-designate expressed their keen interest in deepening the bilateral relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Ukraine. Discussions focused on areas in which the two countries could collaborate further, including in the fields of Information Communications Technology, Renewable Energy, and Tourism. The Ambassador-designate also presented the Permanent Secretary (Ag.) with a copy of his Letters of Credence.
His Excellency Valeriy Chaly, is resident in Washington, D.C.
