On Friday 6th August, 2021, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, received an introductory courtesy call (virtually) from Ms. Carina Cockburn, the new Country Representative of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Trinidad and Tobago, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.
Minister Browne and Ms. Cockburn discussed opportunities for cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and the IDB and identified Digital Transformation, in areas such as education, health care, and national security, as an important driver in the transformation of Trinidad and Tobago in the post-pandemic period. Minister Browne and Ms. Cockburn agreed to build on the existing collaboration between Trinidad and Tobago and the IDB in pursuit of Government’s Vision 2030 priorities for the development of Trinidad and Tobago.
