Demonstration on new CSME Application Process

PORT OF SPAIN: 29TH JULY, 2022

The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs is working towards the launch of an online portal for application for the CARCIOM Single Market and the Economy (CSME). To this end, on Tuesday 26th July, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met with the iGovTT Team and the Ministry of Digital Transformation to review and assess the new CSME Online Application Portal. Once completed, the Portal will facilitate the online receipt of applications for Skills Certificates and Work Permit Exemptions under the Right of Establishment.

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, participated in the demonstration along with staff of the Ministry’s CARICOM and Caribbean Affairs Division and CSME Unit. The Minister expressed his appreciation for the work that had been completed thus far and was enthusiastic about the next steps towards completion of the project to digitalise the CSME application process.

The Online Application Portal forms part of the ongoing digital transformation of the services provided by the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, in particular, the services provided under the CARICOM Single Market and Economy.
