PORT OF SPAIN: 19TH AUGUST, 2016
On Thursday 23rd June, 2016, His Excellency Dr. Amery Browne presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Michel Temer, interim President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Brazil.
Ambassador Browne was amongst eleven Ambassadors accredited to Brazil, who presented to His Excellency Michel Temer. In attendance was Mr. Jose Serra; Ambassador Marcos Galvão, Minister of External Relations the Director-General of Ministry of External Relations, Ambassador Claudio Frederico de Matos Arruda, International Affairs Advisor to the Presidency.
Ambassador Browne was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Saara Ali-Browne, Minister Counsellor Dr. Paul Byam, and Second Secretary Ms. Liselle Gene. The Acting President and the Ambassador engaged in friendly discussions on a range of topics of mutual interest including education, health care, mosquito vector control and air links between the two nations.
