Launch of the e-appointment platform for the CSME Skills Certificates and Right of Establishment Applications

Statement delivered by Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs on the Launch of the e-Appointment Platform for the CSME Skills Certificates and Right of Establishment Applications.

The online platform allows members of the public to book in-person or virtual appointments with CSME Officers, in respect of applications for a CSME Skills Certificate and applications for the Right of Establishment, and the Right to Provide a Service.

The new system is in line with the government’s digitalization and institutional strengthening agenda. In this regard, the CSME Unit will be used to pilot the system for wider application by Divisions that interface with the public. The e-appointment and live-chat platforms are phase II and III of a VII phase CSME Modernization Plan 2020-2022. The aim of the plan is to accelerate CSME implementation, digitalize the CSME application process, improve customer service, improve data capturing capabilities and analysis through digitization, and increase public awareness.
