Minister attends CELAC ACS Ministers Breakfast Meeting in the Margins of the 77th Session of the UNGA.

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Head of the Trinidad and Tobago Delegation, attended the Breakfast of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), being hosted within the framework of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York, on September 19, 2022.

The Meeting, held in the margins of the High-level Week of the UNGA, commenced Minister Browne’s participation in this year’s UNGA Session. The Minister, in his address, reaffirmed Trinidad and Tobago’s commitment to CELAC and acknowledged the work of CAF in the region. He also encouraged stronger engagement between CAF and other Caribbean Nations, given Trinidad and Tobago’s positive experiences with CAF. Further, he highlighted Trinidad and Tobago’s active engagement with the Association of Caribbean States. Minister Browne lauded the commitment of CELAC to CARICOM sister state, Haiti, whose stability and well-being is an ongoing concern for the Region
