Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, received a farewell courtesy call from His Excellency Kumar Gupta, High Commissioner for Canada, on 9th August, 2022. The discussion centred on His Excellency’s active tenure as High Commissioner over the last two and a half years, including furthering bilateral initiatives and engaging civil society in Trinidad and Tobago, as well as ongoing issues. Minister Browne conveyed sincere appreciation for High Commissioner Gupta’s efforts in deepening and expanding bilateral relations. High Commissioner Gupta expressed his pleasure at being able to serve in Trinidad and Tobago, adding that he had many enjoyable experiences and made lasting friendships.
