MINISTER BROWNE MEETS NEWLY-APPOINTED VICE FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARGENTINA IN THE MARGINS OF THE VIII CELAC SUMMIT IN ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met with His Excellency Leopoldo Sahores, newly-appointed Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic on March 1, 2024 in the margins of the VIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the CELAC, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This was the first bilateral encounter at the political level since the inauguration of the newly-elected Government of Argentina on December 10, 2023.

Minister Browne underscored the importance placed by Trinidad and Tobago on its relationship with Argentina and looked forward to engaging further in the fields of renewable energy and other non-traditional areas.

He further communicated that approval had been granted for the Ambassador-designate of Argentina to be accredited to Trinidad and Tobago.
