Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met with Ms. Nievia Ramsundar, Executive Director of the CARICOM Competition Commission (CCC) on 24th January, 2024 at the Ministry’s headquarters, to discuss the ongoing work of the Commission.
Minister Browne congratulated Ms. Ramsundar and her team for her organisation’s achievement of 15 years of service to the Caribbean Community, which they celebrated in 2023, and expressed appreciation for their dedication to the Commission.
During the meeting, Minister Browne and Ms. Ramsundar discussed a range of topics including the budgetary allocation for the CCC, the Work Programme and Strategic Plan and the recommendations of the Review of the Caribbean Community Institutions for the mandate and staff at the CCC.
The meeting ended cordially with Minister Browne reaffirming Trinidad and Tobago’s commitment to the CCC and its work in the region.
