Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs expressed his deep appreciation to His Excellency Shri Gauri Shankar Gupta, outgoing High Commissioner for the Republic of India to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for the role he played in strengthening cooperation between both countries in areas such as agriculture, culture and trade. Minister Moses also highlighted the high level exchanges which took place between officials of Trinidad and Tobago and India. These sentiments were expressed during a farewell luncheon in honour of His Excellency Shri Gauri Shankar Gupta on 29th July, 2016.
Reflecting on his tenure, High Commissioner Gupta thanked the Government and People of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for the love and affection expressed during this tour of duty and the cherished memories he has of Trinidad and Tobago. In demonstrating his affection and passion for this twin island Republic treated those present to a brief recital of two of his poems entitled “Trinidad” and “Goodbye”.
