Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs expressed his deep appreciation to His Excellency Jules Bijl, outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of The Netherlands for his service and the contribution he made during his tenure in Trinidad and Tobago. These sentiments were expressed during a farewell Courtesy Call by Ambassador Bijl on 23rd July, 2019 at the Ministry’s headquarters.
Reflecting on his tenure, Ambassador Bijl indicated that he was quite satisfied with bilateral relations between Trinidad and Tobago and The Netherlands. His Excellency also asserted that evidence of strengthened ties could be found in the re-establishment of direct airlift by Caribbean Airlines between Curaçao and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as our mutual cooperative efforts with respect to Energy and Energy Industries. The Ambassador further advised that he would always have fond and warm memories of Trinidad and Tobago, which reminded him of his home in Curaçao.
The meeting ended cordially with Minister Moses extending best wishes to Ambassador Bijl in his future endeavours.
