Fifty years ago on April 29, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the United Mexican States established diplomatic relations. Today, another milestone has been recorded between both countries as Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs bid farewell to His Excellency Mario Arriola Woog, Ambassador of the United Mexican States on the completion of his tour of duty in Trinidad and Tobago.
During a luncheon hosted in honour of Ambassador Arriola Woog, Minister Moses thanked him for developing the fruitful relationship that has strengthened the bonds that exist between both countries. Minister Moses expressed appreciation for the assistance which was provided for scholarships, training and culture and indicated to His Excellency that he was looking forward to continue working in these areas, among others with his successor.
Ambassador Arriola Woog thanked the people of Trinidad and Tobago for the rich experience he gained and indicated that he learnt a lot from the CARICOM countries. He suggested that Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico keep learning from one another as both countries are faced with the same challenges on the political realm, economic realm and the social realm.
Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses and His Excellency Mario Arriola Woog both committed to continue building a stronger relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and the United Mexican States.
