The Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, met today (Wednesday 01st December 2021) with Her Excellency Cecelia Pinilla-Perdomo, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Trinidad and Tobago, via videoconference.
The two officials discussed a range of matters relevant to the diplomatic relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia. The dialogue included planning for an upcoming CARICOM-Colombia Ministerial Summit, cooperation in the fight against COVID-19, progress with a draft Air Services Agreement, and exploration of issues related to trade, investments, health and security.
The meeting ended with mutual re-affirmation of the value of South-South collaboration, and with Minister Browne`s assurance of the ongoing commitment of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to the relationship between our two states.
