Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, met with Mr. Pedro Martin, U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires a.i. on May 16, 2022 for an exchange on regional and bilateral issues.
Discussion focused on participation in the upcoming Ninth Summit of the Americas to be held in Los Angeles, United States of America, during the week of June 6, 2022, as well as the renewal of a long-standing bilateral security agreement between Trinidad and Tobago and the US.
The dialogue was very productive with the exchange of views and priorities of significant
interest to both countries and to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) as a whole.
