Minister Moses meets with His Excellency Alexander S. Kurmaz, newly appointed Ambassador of Russia


The Russian Federation has appointed a new Ambassador to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Alexander S. Kurmaz. On Friday 5th October 2018, Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs received His Excellency, who is resident in Georgetown, Guyana, shortly before the Ambassador presented his Credentials to Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kurmaz noted that Russia enjoyed a long relationship with Trinidad and Tobago and expressed his readiness to explore areas of cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and Russia. Minister Moses expressed his appreciation for Trinidad and Tobago’s relationship with Russia over the last forty-four (44) years and his anticipation of further collaboration with the Ambassador and with the Russian Federation.
