MINISTER OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS ATTENDS SPECIAL MEETINGS OF COUNCIL FOR FOREIGN AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF MINISTERS IN BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS

On Wednesday February 19th 2025, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, participated in two meetings held consecutively in the margins of the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community CARICOM, in Bridgetown, Barbados. These meetings were the 22nd Special Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) and the 15th Special Meeting of the Community Council of Ministers. 

Discussions at the COFCOR focused on matters of regional significance to Member States including CARICOM-Hemispheric Relations in 2025, candidatures and CARICOM relations with non-member States. 

The Community Council of Ministers discussed the proposed CARICOM Budget and Member States’ contributions, with a view to enhancing CARICOM Secretariat’s operational efficiency, towards ensuring the successful delivery of its objectives.
