Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, held discussions with Mr. Omar Hassan Shehadeh, Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates to the Caribbean and Pacific States, during a bilateral meeting on 1st May, 2024 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.
Discussions during the meeting, centered on the advancement of several areas of collaboration between both countries, including bilateral agreements, agriculture and technical cooperation. Minister Browne and Mr. Shehadeh also exchanged views on the war in Gaza and the crisis in Haiti.
Mr. Shehadeh is leading a three-member delegation on a visit to Trinidad and Tobago to strengthen bilateral relations between Trinidad and Tobago and the United Arab Emirates.
