Senator The Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met with Her Excellency Claudia Giuliana Betalleluz Otiura, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, during a courtesy call on 1st November, 2024 at the Ministry’s headquarters.
Minister Browne extended a very warm welcome to Ambassador Betalleluz Otiura and noted her already very active engagement as a member of the Diplomatic Corps in Trinidad and Tobago. In this regard, the Ambassador shared very positive thoughts on her experience in Trinidad and Tobago since assuming office in June.
Discussions during the meeting focused on a number of areas of mutual interest to Trinidad and Tobago and Peru. The Minister and the Ambassador also briefly discussed the many beautiful aspects of the Peruvian culture and heritage, which the Ambassador hoped to share with the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
The meeting ended cordially with Minister Browne expressing his desire to continue to work with the Embassy of Peru in areas of cooperation to further strengthen the relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and Peru.
