MINISTER OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS MEETS WITH PROFESSOR ANDREW JUPITER

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs received Professor Andrew Jupiter during a Courtesy Call held on 3rd March, 2023 at the Ministry’s headquarters.

During the brief meeting, Professor Jupiter presented his recently launched book, “Red, White and Black Gold” to Minister Browne. Red, White and Black Gold follows the life and career of Professor Jupiter, a stalwart of the Trinidad and Tobago energy sector. Professor Jupiter has a wealth of knowledge and experience built over the years dating back to 1971 when he entered his first energy-related job at Shell Limited. At the meeting, the Professor indicated that he wanted to give something back to Trinidad and Tobago, which was how the book “Red, White and Black Gold was born.

Minister Browne congratulated Professor Jupiter on the publication of his book and expressed gratitude to the Professor for his visit and the valuable contribution he has made to Trinidad and Tobago in the energy sector.

Professor Andrew Jupiter is the former Coordinator of the Petroleum Studies Unit at the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus and directly oversaw the MSc Petroleum Engineering, and MSc and Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering and Management programmes. He was the recipient of the Chaconia Medal (Gold) in 2016 (Public Service) and was appointed as Distinguished Fellow in 2013 and Professor of Practice by The UWI.
