Senator the Honourable Dr Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met with His Excellency, Victor Hugo Morales Meléndez, Ambassador for the United Mexican States to Trinidad and Tobago, at the Ministry’s Headquarters on 17th February, 2025.
The discussions focussed on various topics including the prevailing dynamic geopolitical events within the hemisphere, the future of the Organisation of American States and ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation between both countries. Possible areas of collaboration were identified such as agriculture, tourism, culture and security.
Minister Browne and Ambassador Morales Meléndez both committed to maintaining close communication as well as to sharing best practices with a view to identifying and maximising opportunities for development in both countries and the region.
The meeting ended with Minister Browne wishing the Ambassador an enjoyable Carnival.
