Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs presented Instrument of Appointment on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. The Honourable Keith Rowley to Mr. Dave Persad, new Head of Mission, on 15th September, 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs. His Excellency Dave Persad will assume duties as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to India with accreditation to India, Japan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
During the presentation Minister Moses congratulated High Commissioner Persad on his appointment and thanked him for his willingness to serve Trinidad and Tobago. He stated that the Government looked forward to deepening the bilateral and multilateral partnerships within his jurisdiction for the benefit of the citizens now and for generations to come. Minister Moses further indicated that His Excellency would be guided by the Government’s policy framework which underscores that the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs and its diplomatic network of overseas missions must be the frontline of projecting the interests of Trinidad and Tobago internationally.
