Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, announced on 19th September, 2019 the appointment of two (2) new High Commissioners to head Trinidad and Tobago’s Missions in Canada and Jamaica.
His Excellency Edward Gerard Ayin has been appointed High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Canada, while His Excellency Deryck Lance Murray will serve as High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Jamaica.
The new Heads of Mission will work to deepen bilateral and multilateral partnerships as they seek to advance the interests of Trinidad and Tobago in the countries to which they are accredited and globally. They will be guided by the Government’s policy framework which outlines national security, energy, trade and industry, health care, education, agriculture and tourism as some of the key areas of the national development agenda that form part of their remit.
