Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met virtually with the Honourable Eugene Rhuggenaath, Prime Minister of Curaçao – Monday 1st February, 2021

On Monday 1st February 2021, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, convened a virtual meeting with the Honourable Eugene Rhuggenaath, Prime Minister of Curaçao, accompanied by His Excellency Sandor Marnix Raphaël Varga van Kibéd en Makfalva, Ambassador of The Kingdom of The Netherlands to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

Against the backdrop of a significant presence of Venezuelan migrants in Trinidad and Tobago and Curaçao, the meeting was aimed at discussing common migration challenges, as well as exchanging ideas and experiences and devising solutions for the best management approach to such challenges.

The discussions were cordial and productive and ended with a commitment from both parties to continue dialogue and technical exchange on the matter.
