Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs and Her Excellency Ayşe Selcan Şanlı, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago committed to furthering the avenues of partnership and communication between Trinidad and Tobago and Türkiye. These views were expressed during a meeting held between Minister Browne and Ambassador Şanlı on 26th February, 2025 at the Ministry’s headquarters.
Discussions during the meeting focused on a range of matters including, the recently concluded 48th Regular Meeting of the Heads of Government Caribbean Community (CARICOM) which took place in Barbados during the period 19th to 21st February, 2025; consular affairs; Türkiye’s hosting of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in April 2025; candidatures in multilateral organisations; and the negotiation of an Air Services Agreement.
