Trinidad and Tobago receives 16,000 doses of WHO approved AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

PORT OF SPAIN: 20TH MAY, 2021

Today the arrival of an additional 16,000 AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines was announced by Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Senator the Honorable Dr. Amery Browne. These World Health Organization (WHO) approved vaccines were generously offered to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago by the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines from their existing allocation of vaccines.

The offer was accepted and the vaccines were efficiently collected and delivered by the Trinidad and Tobago Air Guard, arriving in Trinidad and Tobago on the afternoon of 20th May, 2021.

These AstraZeneca vaccines were manufactured at a WHO approved facility and will expire at the end of June 2021. The Government of Trinidad and Tobago extends its gratitude to the Government and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for their generous offer and demonstration of regional cooperation.
