The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs has been liaising with the High Commission for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in London, United Kingdom to ensure that all nationals of Trinidad and Tobago who are in Stockholm, Sweden are safe following the incident that took place on 8th April, 2017 resulting in death and injury.
The High Commission has notified nationals within the diaspora who are registered with the High Commission and will continue conducting routine checks. The High Commission continues to encourage all nationals to be vigilant and to adhere to the advertised security measures.
The Government and the people of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago stand firm in support of the people of Sweden. In this regard, we continue to pray for the safety and security of the Swedish people.
