His Excellency Dr. Lovell Francis presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Dr. Hage G. Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia on 11th November, 2022. The presentation took place at the State House, Auasblick, Windhoek, Republic of Namibia. High Commissioner Francis, who is based in Pretoria, presented Credentials previously in South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
During the brief courtesy call that followed the presentation of Credentials, the long-standing relationship between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Republic of Namibia was discussed. In this regard, President Geingob lauded the decades of cooperation at the international level between Trinidad and Tobago and Namibia. President Geingob also expressed hopes for further collaboration between the two countries, particularly in the area of energy.
High Commissioner Francis indicated to the President his intention to work on strengthening the relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and Namibia on both the bilateral and multilateral levels. On the topic of future collaborations between Trinidad and Tobago and Namibia in the area of energy, High Commissioner Francis expressed that such a view would be well received, in Trinidad and Tobago, in the spirit of mutual development and South-South cooperation.
