Minister Moses welcomes first appointed High Commissioner for Sri Lanka

Senator the Honourable Dennis Moses, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, received His Excellency Prasad Kariyawasam, the first non-resident High Commissioner-designate of the Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka to be appointed to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, for a brief courtesy call on Tuesday 13th October, 2015. During the courtesy call, discussions focussed on strengthening ties between Trinidad and Tobago and Sri Lanka, and possible collaboration between both countries in the areas of trade and tourism. 

His Excellency Kariyawasam presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona ORTT, S.C., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago following the courtesy call with Minister Moses. High Commissioner Kariyawasam is resident in Washington D.C., United States of America.
