MINISTER OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS BIDS FAREWELL TO HER EXCELLENCY SELVIA EDITH MILLER PALMER, AMBASSADOR OF PANAMA

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs bid farewell to Her Excellency Selvia Edith Miller Palmer, outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago during a Courtesy Call on 4th July, 2024 at the headquarters of the Ministry.

Reflecting that the year 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Panama, the Minister complimented the strength of cultural cooperation in art, literature, film and cuisine exhibitions, during Her Excellency’s stewardship. He underscored that this aspect of the bilateral relationship is taken very seriously, especially in light of the historical context. The Minister assured the Ambassador that efforts will continue toward formalising cultural and tourism cooperation between the two countries, in addition to the ongoing efforts at enhancing trade relations.

The meeting ended cordially with Ambassador Miller expressing appreciation for the opportunity to bid farewell to the Minister. Minister Browne indicated that he looked forward to her continued connection with Trinidad and Tobago.
