MINISTER OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS BIDS FAREWELL TO HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND

Her Excellency Harriet Cross, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland paid a farewell courtesy call on Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs on 3rd December, 2024 at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Minister Browne expressed appreciation to the High Commissioner and used the opportunity to congratulate her on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, for her positive and productive engagement during her tenure. He commended the manner in which she was able to establish new and direct connections, leverage opportunities, and promote new initiatives on gender-based violence and empowerment of women and girls.

High Commissioner Cross extended her gratitude for Minister Browne’s facilitative approach to discourse. Her Excellency expressed the hope that collaborative projects between Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom would be realised within the framework of the recently concluded Memorandum of Understanding between the United Kingdom’s (UK) Export Guarantees Department (operating as UK Export Finance) and the Ministry of Finance.

Both parties exchanged best wishes for their respective future endeavours on the personal and professional levels.

The High Commissioner’s of duty concludes on 11th December, 2024.
