MINISTER OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS HOLDS DISCUSSIONS WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, held discussions with His Excellency Álvaro Sánchez Cordero, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, during a meeting on 8th August 2024, at the headquarters of Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sánchez provided an update on developments pertaining to the post-election situation in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela following the Presidential Election, which took place in that country, on Sunday 28th July, 2024 and shared information on the electoral process and results. Both officials then engaged in comprehensive discussion of matters arising, including regional and hemispheric implications.

The Minister expressed his appreciation for the information provided and interest in further updates as the situation evolves. Further, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Minister Browne extended best wishes to the Government and People of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
