Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, met with Her Excellency Karen Tan, Ambassador and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Singapore to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), on the morning of February 24th 2025, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.
The meeting was a follow-up to the bilateral discussions held between Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Honourable Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, on the margins of the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) which took place in Apia, Samoa, from October 25th to 26th, 2024 and interaction between Minister Browne and the Ambassador on the margins of the 46th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community held in Bridgetown, Barbados, 20th – 21st February, 2025.
Minister Browne and Her Excellency, had cordial discussions about the long-standing relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and Singapore, candidatures and the prospect for future cooperation in areas such as digital transformation, civil aviation, port management, traffic management, tourism and national security.
