Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs engaged in bilateral discussions with Her Excellency Diana Elena Mondino, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic in the margins of the 54th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organisation of American States (OAS) in Asunción, Republic of Paraguay which took place during the period 26th to 28th June, 2024.
This was Minister Browne’s first bilateral encounter with his counterpart since the inauguration of the newly elected Government of Argentina on 10th December, 2023.
During the meeting, Minister Browne underscored the importance placed by Trinidad and Tobago on its relationship with Argentina and looked forward to engaging further in the fields of renewable energy, security cooperation, and other non-traditional areas.
Minister Browne also participated in a breakfast meeting for CARICOM Foreign Ministers hosted by Minister Mondino on 28th June, 2024.
