Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, met with Dr. Giuseppe Busini, Senior Inspector from the Inspection Service of the European External Action Service, on 26th April, 2023 at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The European External Action Service, established in December 2010, is tasked to carry out the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy to promote, inter alia, peace, prosperity, security and the interests of Europeans across the globe. Dr. Busini headed the Team which visited Trinidad and Tobago to perform a routine inspection of the operations of the Delegation of the European Union, including to assess the relationship of the European Union Delegation in Port of Spain with its stakeholders and partners, such as the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.
During the meeting, Minister Browne and Dr. Busini discussed a range of issues related to the relationship and programme of work between the Delegation of the European Union and the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.
The meeting ended cordially with both parties agreeing to further strengthen the relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and the European Union.
