Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs received His Excellency William Bush, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia for a courtesy call on 14th July, 2023 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.
Minister Browne acknowledged the fruitful cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia, especially in the field of agriculture.
Ambassador Bush referred to his affinity with the Caribbean and the Caribbean Community, mentioning his professional ties with and academic interest in the Caribbean region dating back to the 1990s. He also informed that he comes from an area of Colombia which has a strong Caribbean influence.
The meeting ended cordially with Minister Browne and Ambassador Bush committing to deepening and strengthening relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia in the near future.
