MINISTER OF FOREIGN AND CARICOM AFFAIRS MEETS WITH RESIDENT COORDINATOR OF THE UNITED NATIONS SYSTEM’S OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR DEVELOPMENT IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs met with Ms. Joanna Kazana-Wisniowiecki, newly appointed Resident Coordinator of the United Nations System’s Operational Activities for Development in Trinidad and Tobago, during a courtesy call on 30th June, 2023 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs. The meeting was arranged to allow Ms. Kazana-Wisniowiecki to present her Credentials to the Minister.

Minister Browne welcomed Ms. Kazana-Wisniowiecki to Trinidad and Tobago and expressed the Ministry’s commitment to productive collaboration with her and appreciation for the work of the United Nations (UN) in the development of Trinidad and Tobago.

The United Nations Resident Coordinator is the highest-ranking representative of the United Nations Development System at the country level, and the Resident Coordinator is the designated representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Ms. Kazana-Wisniowiecki indicated that she was impressed by the level of cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and the United Nations, and stated her commitment in ensuring that all aspects of the United Nation’s mandate are fulfilled.
