Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, met with His Excellency Álvaro Sánchez Cordero, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on Thursday 06th June, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs in St. Clair.
At the meeting, Ambassador Sánchez provided an update on Venezuela’s preparations for the forthcoming Presidential Election, which is scheduled to take place on 28th July, 2024. The meeting also facilitated the discussion of on-going matters and opportunities for future bilateral cooperation initiatives.
The Minister expressed his appreciation for the update and, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, wished the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, a successful and peaceful Presidential Election.
