Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, met with the Trinidad and Tobago Education Working Group, at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs on 12th April, 2023.
The Trinidad and Tobago Education Working Group is a group of stakeholders which seeks to identify opportunities for the delivery of education services to migrant children in Trinidad and Tobago. The Education Working Group is supported by the Catholic Education Board of Management; the Living Water Community; the Ministry of Education; the Pan American Development Foundation; the United Nations Children’s Fund; and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Minister Browne and the Education Working Group considered issues related to the provision of education services to migrant children in Trinidad and Tobago as well as measures which could be taken to make education services more accessible to them.
