Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs participates in the Meeting of the CARICOM Council of Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) in The Bahamas, 15th February, 2023

Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, participated in the 17th Special Meeting of the Council on Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) held on 15th February, 2023 in Nassau, The Bahamas under the chairmanship of the Foreign Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, the Honourable Chet Greene.

Among the issues receiving the attention of CARICOM Foreign Ministers were the Community’s engagement with the Republic of Korea, Azerbaijan, Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States of America (USA). St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in its capacity as President Pro Tempore of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), presented on a number of key areas of focus during its tenure.

Minister Browne also participated in and contributed to the discussions during a working luncheon with the U.S. candidate for the position of Director General of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
