Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs signs the condolence book on the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of The Republic of India

On 31st December, 2024, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, visited the High Commission of India in Port of Spain to sign the condolence book opened in honour of the late Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of the Republic of India, who passed away in India on 26th December, 2024.

Dr. Singh served as Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 and visited Trinidad and Tobago as Head of the Indian Delegation to the 2009 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Port of Spain from 27th to 29th November, 2009.

Minister Browne was received by His Excellency Dr. Pradeep Singh Rajpurohit, High Commissioner for the Republic of India to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, to whom he expressed his deepest sympathies on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Minister also took the opportunity to underscore the value placed on the relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and India.
