PRIME MINISTER DR. KEITH ROWLEY TO CHAIR TWENTY-FIRST SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CONFERENCE OF HEADS OF GOVERNMENT OF THE CARIBBEAN COMMUNITY (CARICOM)

The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago will chair the Twenty-First Special Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to be held on Tuesday 11th May, 2021. Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley will lead this country’s delegation, and he will be accompanied by Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs.

The purpose for the convening of the Twenty-First Special Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM is to advance the process for selection of a new Secretary-General for the Caribbean Community, to succeed the incumbent CARICOM Secretary-General, His Excellency Irwin LaRocque.  The meeting will be convened virtually.
