In the margins of the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which was recently held in Bridgetown, Barbados, Senator the Honourable Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, deposited Instruments of Ratification for the following Protocols of the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas:
a. Protocol to Amend Article 32 of the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas establishing the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy; and
b. Protocol to Amend the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas establishing the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy to Allow Enhanced Cooperation among Member States and to Address Related Issues.
By depositing these Instruments of Ratification, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago undertook the final stage in the expression of commitment to upholding the provisions of the aforementioned Protocols. This further reinforces the Government of Trinidad and Tobago’s steadfast dedication to regional cooperation with its partners in CARICOM.
